The Konkan Coast & Dandeli

MUMBAI-DANDELI-HOSPET-BADAMI-GOA-MUMBAI - (11 Nights)

 

Day 01 ARRIVAL: Reception and welcome followed by transfer to your hotel.

 

Day 02 MUMBAI: Unwind over a leisurely breakfast before you set out to acquaint yourself with the city over the entire day.

 

Day 03 MUMBAI – GOA –DANDELI: An early flight takes you to Goa but you travel deeper by road to the camp at Dandeli. Post lunch, adventure awaits to challenge you as white water.

 

Day 04 DANDELI: Go into the jungle in open jeeps at dawn to spot wildlife before it holes up for the day.  After breakfast, ride the river and birdwatch, keeping a wary eye on the crocodiles basking on the banks.

 

Day 05 DANDELHI – HOSPET: Visit the ruined city of Hampi on the banks of the Tungabhadra River.  This is the site of the capital of Vijaynager that held sway over the region for more than 200 years. Stay overnight at Hospet.

 

Day 06 HOSPET – BADAMI: Drive to Badami, the dramatic capital of the powerful Chalukya dynasty that ruled the Deccan in the 6th and the 7th century AD. Among the ruins are some truly spectacular temples carved into the southern face of the overhanging cliff.

 

Day 07 BADAMI: A full day to explore the ancient sandstone temples at Aihole and Pattadakal that also date back to the Chalukyan era.

 

Day 08 BADAMI – GOA:  Morning drive to Goa for a leisurely three-night stay at a beach resort.

 

Day 9 & 10 AT GOA: Sun and sand to your heart’s content.

 

Day 11 GOA –MUMBAI: Fly back to Mumbai. You have time to explore further the diverse heritage, bustling markets, business houses and many different communities in this cosmopolitan city that represent the ever- changing face of modern India.

 

Day 12 DEPARTURE: See more of the city or shop as you await to be transferred to the airport in time for your flight out.
